The Frederick is where Horse Girl began.

Designed by Tahlia Fischer, this extraordinary faux leather duffel was the very first piece imagined for the Horse Girl brand. Its development began in March 2026 and continued through months of sketches, revisions, samples and thoughtful back-and-forth before finally coming to life in October 2026.

The result is everything Tahlia hoped it would be: substantial, beautifully constructed and unmistakably special.

Inspired by the romance of vintage flight bags and heritage equestrian travel, The Frederick combines a rich, timeworn appearance with the elevated quality of a true statement piece. Its supple faux leather exterior is complemented by a beautiful silk inlay—an unexpected detail that gives the interior the same sense of occasion as the outside.

This is the kind of bag that makes you want to plan the trip just so you can carry it.

The Frederick has the generous proportions needed for weekends away, horse shows, road trips and flights, while its thoughtful organization keeps everything from disappearing into the bottom of the bag.

An interior zippered pocket protects smaller valuables, while internal mesh pockets keep essentials organized and easy to find. Strong welded handles provide a confident hand carry, and the detachable shoulder strap offers another comfortable way to wear it when your hands are full.

A discreet zippered luggage sleeve across the back slides securely over the telescoping handle of a rolling suitcase, allowing The Frederick to travel effortlessly through airports, hotels and everywhere in between.

Why Faux Leather

When Tahlia first imagined Horse Girl, she wanted faux leather to be at the heart of the brand. It remains her personal preference and was an intentional part of The Frederick from its earliest design.

Horse Girl will also be a home for meaningful collaborations, each shaped by the materials, traditions, craftspeople and communities behind it. Those pieces may not all be made from the same materials, because every collaboration carries its own history and purpose.

The goal is not to argue with anyone’s personal preference. It is to be honest about what each piece is made from, thoughtful about where it comes from and intentional about the impact it can create.

The Frederick represents the original vision: a beautifully made faux leather piece designed personally by Tahlia and created for the horse girls who inspired this brand from the beginning.

The Original Horse Girl Piece

The Frederick took seven months to bring to life, but its story is even bigger than the bag itself.

It is the piece that started Horse Girl—the first design, the first vision and the beginning of everything Tahlia hopes the brand will become. It was made for early flights, long horse-show weekends, countryside escapes and every adventure still waiting beyond the barn.

We do our best to get your order to you as quickly as possible — because we know how exciting it is to get new Horse Girl gear! 

Processing Time:
All orders are processed within 7–10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). During high-volume times, processing may take an extra day or two, but we’ll always keep you updated if there’s any delay.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates:
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and package weight.
Most orders within the U.S. arrive within 3–7 business days after shipping.

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.

Lost or Stolen Packages:
Once your package leaves our hands, it’s in the care of the carrier (UPS, USPS, or FedEx). If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you didn’t receive your order, please reach out to the carrier first.

International Shipping:
We currently ship within the U.S. and Canada. International shipping rates and delivery times vary by location. Customers are responsible for any customs fees or import duties.

Returns & exchanges
We hope you enjoy your Horse Girl × Cornetti pieces for years to come. If your purchase is not quite right, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to arrange a return or exchange. For preorders, the 14 days start when your piece is delivered.

Items must be unworn, unused and in their original condition, with the original packaging and dust bags. Please try boots on indoors on a clean, carpeted surface to protect the soles. Items showing signs of wear cannot be accepted.

Please ship your return within 7 days of approval. After inspection, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Exchange shipping is complimentary and covered by Horse Girl. Exchanges are subject to availability.

Between sizes?
You are welcome to order two sizes of the same boot style together. Keep your preferred pair and return the other. Both pairs must be purchased in the same order, and the returned pair must meet the conditions above.

Quality & craftsmanship
If your piece arrives damaged, incorrect or appears to have a manufacturing defect, email us with your order number and clear photographs. We will review the issue and arrange a resolution at no additional cost to you.

Horse Girl apparel, socks and accessories

Refunds:
If you’re unhappy with your item for any reason, just reach out to us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll issue a full refund — no need to send the item back — unless your order included five (5) or more pairs of socks, in which case we’ll email you a prepaid return label.

Exchanges:
We don’t offer direct exchanges on these items, but you’re always welcome to place a new order for the style or size you prefer.

Damaged or incorrect items:
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 7 days of delivery so we can replace it immediately.

We trust our customers and believe in doing what’s right. If you’re not happy, we’re not happy — and we’ll always make it right.
